The Blustery Beach

I finally ventured out in the wind
and learned that an unprotected coast
is not always the best place to be!
The wind was so gusty
that it made a loud whistling noise
across the Pacific Ocean.

It wasn't as cold as it is back home,
but it definitely was not swimsuit and surfboard weather!

I spent more time in a little ampitheater
seating area.

It was more sheltered and had neat
shell and ceramic mosaics.

This town was created when beach access
was dug down through the bluffs.

High tides and high winds....

Seagull in the ampitheater area...

More scenic views...

Astro turf at the beach?

Facing the town from the ampitheater.
Love the Christmas tree!

I found an octopus by the playground!

I sat next to the sandy colored stone.
Don't I look camoflauged?

I sat on the ceramic legs of the octopus!

I think this is as close as I want to get to an octopus!

Since the beach has more ocean than beach,
this park has a playground and basketball courts
for people to enjoy the ocean view and ocean breezes
without trying to sunbathe on a small bit of rock covered shore.

I climbed the climbing wall!
It was a bit of a stretch!
Okay, I had a lot of help!

Maybe we will come back when the weather
isn't so blustery and we can enjoy ocean breezes
instead of ocean gusts!
